You and your family will never forget this magical, spiritual place.
The tour is designed for you to set out in the morning and return to Bogota in the early afternoon. You’ll be able to see places like Zipaquira’s main square and the Puente del Comun along the way.

Guatavita’s Lagoon

Discover the enchanting Guatavita’s Lagoon, the origin of the legend of El Dorado, which attracted hundreds of Spaniards in search of gold and precious stones.
According to legend, it was in this lake that the future zipa (the ruler of the Muisca people) would cover himself with tree resins and gold dust, get on a raft, and with the help of four priests, venture out to the center of the lake, where he would throw in beautiful pieces of gold and precious stones as an offering to the gods. He would then dive into the lake and become the new zipa of the tribe.
This tour will also take us through the beautiful landscapes of the Bogota savanna and the colonial town of Guatavita, where we will visit various shops owned by Colombian artisans.
